Suspected drug pusher slain in Laguna buy-bust
SAN PEDRO CITY — A suspected drug pusher was killed in a buy-bust operation in Calamba City in Laguna province on Thursday.
Rolando Medina, a resident of Barangay Real, suddenly drew and fired his gun at police conducting the operation around 1 a.m., Laguna police director Col. Eleazar Matta said in a text message.
The police returned fire and hit Medina, who died on the way to the JP Rizal Hospital.
Police recovered a .38-caliber gun and a sachet of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) from the scene. Maricar Cinco (Editor: Leti Boniol)
