Villar passes 25M votes, keeps lead in Senate race — PPCRV tally
MANILA, Philippines — Reelectionist Senator Cynthia Villar has garnered more than 25 million votes, the latest partial and unofficial tally from the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) transparency server showed.
As of 11:09 a.m. on Sunday, Villar had 25,116,310 votes followed by fellow reelectionist senator Grace Poe who garnered 21,911,481 votes.
Former Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go was in third with 20,453,347 votes, followed by Taguig City Rep. Pia Cayetano (19,632,440), former Bureau of Corrections and Philippine National Police chief Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa (18,802,305).
Re-electionist senator Sonny Angara placed sixth with 18,041,634 votes followed by former senator Lito Lapid (16,880,206), Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos (15,729,192), former presidential political adviser Francis Tolentino (15,368,023) and reelectionist senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III (14,548,465).
Former Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. remained in eleventh spot with 14,546,314 votes after slipping from tenth place on Saturday afternoon.
