MANILA, Philippines — The ACT-CIS, backed by Erwin Tulfo, continued to lead the party-list race with 2,524,878 votes as of the 8:12 a.m. partial and unofficial tally of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV)-Inquirer Transparency Server.
As of posting, 82,094 of 87,851 or 93.45 percent of nationwide election returns have been transmitted.
Jocelyn Tulfo, the wife of Erwin’s older brother Raffy, is the second nominee of ACT-CIS.
The Tulfos were involved in the controversial multi-million peso ad deal involving the Department of Tourism, People’s Television Network Inc. and Tulfo-owned Bitag Media Unlimited Inc. They also host hard-hitting public service programs that cater to Filipinos in the country and abroad.

Bayan Muna came in second with 1,074,568 votes, followed by Ako Bicol with 1,002,279 votes, Cibac (898,792), Ang Probinsyano (729,491), and 1Pacman (690,091).

If the figures are translated to the number House of Representatives seats, ACT-CIS would get three seats, two for Bayan Muna, and one each for Ako Bicol, Cibac, Ang Probinsyano, 1Pacman, Marino, and Probinsyano Ako.
A total of 181 groups are vying for the 59 seats allocated for party-list congressmen.
According to the party-list system, a group needs to get 2 percent of the total party-list votes to win a seat. What remains of the 59 seats will then be distributed among the groups that got more than 2 percent. (Editor: Cenon B. Bibe Jr.)
