Cebuana Lhuillier faces Cafe France in D-League

THE Cebuana Lhuillier will try to extend their winning streak to five games when they take on the Café France today in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Game time is set at 4 p.m. It follows the 2 p.m. duel between Cobra Energy Drink and PC Gilmore – two teams coming off breakthrough wins.

Cebuana Lhuillier sits comfortably on top of the standings with a 7-1 (win-loss) record that makes it a strong candidate to clinch one of two outright semi-final berths.

NLEX [5-1] and Freego Jeans [6-2] are the two other teams in contention for the coveted seats.

The latest heartbreaker took place last Monday when Café France [2-4]  blew an 18-point lead in an, 80-82 loss against PC Gilmore that effectively took the Bakers out of the playoffs race.  /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
