MANILA, Philippines — Two senators seeking another term in the Senate will work double time and visit more provinces and targeting “big voting areas” in the final stretch of the campaign.

“We will try to maximize the last six days of campaigning by targeting big voting areas,” Senator Sonny Angara said in a text message on Monday.

Asked about reports that official ballots had already been pre-shaded, Angara said: “The fairness of elections is always a concern, but we have the Comelec (Commission on Election) to look after that.”

The Comelec had denied the allegations of pre-shaded ballots that stemmed from a video supposedly showing a ballot with ultraviolet marks for certain candidates.
