High-value target falls in Pasig drug sting

MANILA, Philippines — A man, tagged as the no. 2 high-value target of the Eastern Police District (EPD), was arrested during a buy-bust operation in Pasig City on Thursday.

EPD identified the suspect as Perlita Arias, 42, of Barangay Rosario, Pasig after a police officer posed as a buyer using P500 marked money.

Confiscated were 15 pieces of plastic containing shabu (crystal meth), marked money worth P2,600, two cellphones, and one black pouch.

Arias and the pieces of evidence were brought to EPD Crime Laboratory in Mandaluyong City for proper disposition. /ee
