Alleged drug dealer slain in Samar buy-bust
ORMOC CITY — An alleged big-time drug dealer was killed in what police said was a shootout in Barangay San Policarpo, Calbayog City, Samar on Thursday morning.
Menard De Leon, 33, suffered bullet wounds on his body.
Based on the police investigation, a poseur-buyer bought one sachet of shabu from De Leon.
But after the payoff, De Leon allegedly noticed that he was dealing with a policeman, prompting him to draw a pistol from his waistline.
A companion of the policeman immediately drew his gun and shot the suspect.
The suspect was brought to the Seventh Day Adventist Hospital in Calbayog City but was declared dead on arrival.
