Traffic at NLEX, SLEX eases on Good Friday
MANILA, Philippines — Heavy traffic flow at the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) that affected thousands of motorists and commuters traveling to provinces of Luzon has eased Good Friday.
In a tweet, NLEX Corporation said that as of 7:49 a.m., traffic on all lanes and toll plazas from Balintawak to Dau was light.

This is a stark contrast to the traffic situation 24 hours ago, where vehicles were moving at a slow pace of around 20 to 40 kilometers per hour.

Balintawak to Lawang Bato NB – slow moving approx 20 to 40 kph
Marilao to Pulilan NB – slow moving approx 20 to 40 kph
Viaduct NB – fast moving
San Simon to Mexico – slow moving approx 20 to 40 kph

Meanwhile, traffic flow at SLEX has also lightened up, according to a tweet by the Manila Toll Expressways System, Inc.
