Traffic flow starts to slow along NLEX on Maundy Thursday
MANILA, Philippines — Travelers heading north from Metro Manila can expect a slow-moving traffic along the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) on Maundy Thursday.
As of 9:18 a.m., the NLEX management said that Balintawak to Valenzuela northbound road is experiencing slow-moving traffic, approximately 20 to 40 kilometers per hour (kph), due to the influx of motorists as the long Holy Week break starts.
The traffic from Meycauayan going to Pulilan, Bulacan is also running with a speed approximately 20 to 40 kph.
Slow-moving traffic could also be observed from San Simon to Mexico, Pampanga, with a speed approximately 20 to 30 kph, the NLEX management said.
Travelers could expect fast-moving traffic along other areas, it added.
NLEX traffic update as of 9:18 AM:

NLEx senior traffic manager Robin Ignacio earlier said that the number of vehicles along NLEX started to build up as early as 3 p.m. on Wednesday, particularly at the Mindanao and Balintawak toll plazas. /jpv
