Passenger turnout rising at country’s seaports on Holy Tuesday–PCG
MANILA, Philippines–The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) monitored an increase of passengers in seaports across the country, with over 31,000 passengers, during the early hours of Holy Tuesday.
Data from the PCG showed that a total of 31,810 outbound passengers were at ports nationwide from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m.
This number is higher than the recorded total passengers on the same period on Monday, which was 23,090 passengers.
Most passengers were recorded in Southern Tagalog provinces, such as Batangas, Oriental Mindoro, Southern Quezon, Occidental Mindoro and Romblon, with 9,310 passengers.
It was followed by Northern Mindanao with 7,668 passengers and Central Visayas with 3,837.
