Makati PNP rounds up 9 drug suspects; confiscates P100K worth of shabu

MANILA, Philippines — Nine drug suspects were arrested while P100,000 worth of suspected shabu (crysal meth) had been confiscated from them during a buy-bust operation Tuesday night in Makati City.

The Makati City Police reported on Wednesday the arrest of the suspects who allegedly yielded 40 sachets of suspected shabu, P1,000 in marked cash, a .38-caliber revolver loaded with five bullets, assorted drug paraphernalia, and five cellphones.

Police Col. Rogelio Simon, Makati police chief, said the operation was launched along Lansones Street in Barangay (village) Comembo at around 7:30 p.m.

Simon said some of the suspects were alleged drug runners who joined the shabu session when police conducted the operation. /jpv
