4 more congressmen on ‘narco list’ – PDEA chief
MANILA, Philippines – Four more congressmen are included in the government’s list of narco-politicians, or those allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) revealed Thursday.
PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino added that there are also 20 to 25 local officials in the ‘narco list’ who have yet to be publicly identified as the agency is still in the validation process.
May apat pa ata (na congressmen) na naiiwan don,” the PDEA chief said.
Aquino said the government would reveal the remaining narco-politicians, hopefully ahead of the May 13 midterm elections.
“Hopefully, makahabol ‘yun,” he said when asked if the government would also announce the other narco-politicians.
