Mall sales clerk busted for theft

MANILA, Philippines – A sales clerk was arrested after stealing P10,345 worth of sporting goods in a mall in Quezon City Wednesday night.

Police identified the suspect as Cesar Lolos, 19, who is stationed at the sports section of the mall’s department store.

Lolos tried to leave the mall with the stolen items when he was accosted by other mall personnel.

Recovered from Lolos were a pair of black running shoes (P3,000), a  pair of violet running shoes (P3,000), a black t-shirt (P1,045) a white t-shirt (P1,045) and one black backpack (P1,900).

He was brought to Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center for physical examination and then transferred to the Quezon City police station at 1:15 a.m. for investigation and proper disposition. / gsg
