Hot sauce saves man from car that crashed into restaurant

A man in Winter Haven, Florida, USA, miraculously saved himself from getting killed by a car that ran through a fast-food chain on Saturday.

The reason? He got up from his seat to get hot sauce.

The car’s driver, 77-year-old Emmanuel Akowuah, told police that he meant to back out of his parking space, WFLA first reported. Instead of hitting reverse, he accidentally set the car to accelerate.

Akowuah’s car crashed into a local Taco Bell chain, sending tables, chairs, glass and debris flying. Aside from the driver, his wife and another passenger were inside the car, but all three were uninjured.
