“Talagang inaabangan namin yan kasi pag dumadaan ka talagang mapapansin mo yong golden trumpet marami pa po yan sa highway ng Malaybalay,” he said.

(We really look forward to that, because you would really notice the golden trumpet trees along the highways in Malaybalay, and there are a lot of them.)

Tagalicod also said that the trees bloom every summer, typically from “February to March.” He also compared their city’s beautiful tree to cherry blossom trees in Japan.

“Sa Japan may cherry blossoms sila, ang Malaybalay may golden trumpet,” he said.

(If Japan has cherry blossoms, Malaybalay has golden trumpets.)

In another Facebook post, Aice Belican, creator of Tugpo Aerials Facebook page, also shared his captivating aerial shot of the Bukidnon National High School, with the shot emphasizing the golden trumpet trees.
