You would expect someone named “Sober” to stay away from alcohol and live up to his name.

But one man in Buttler County, Pennsylvania, USA, ironically did not as he was arrested for drunk driving last Saturday, March 9, when police pulled 44-year-old Daniel Sober over to the side of the road for suspected drunk driving, as reported by WTAE.

When asked by officers, he said he just went over to his girlfriend’s house to check on her son. However, police noticed the smell of alcohol from Sober’s breath.

They then gave him a portable breath test, which indicated that he had alcohol in his system. Police said that after a formal test at the station, Sober’s blood alcohol content level was found to be 0.194 percent. In Pennsylvania, a person having a 0.08 blood alcohol content level is considered intoxicated.

Sober was charged with drunk driving and careless driving, as per The Smoking Gun. He is set to appear in court on March 20.  Katrina Hallare /ra
