MANILA, Philippines — The family of slain businessman Dominic Sytin is offering P1-million cash reward to anyone who may give information that will lead to the arrest of Ryan Rementilla, whose real name is Oliver Fuentes, tagged as another suspect in the murder case.

“The family of Mr. Dominic Sytin would like to announce that they are offering P1 million for the capture of Ryan Rementilla,” Chief Supt. Joel Napoleon Coronel, director of the Police Regional Office 3 (Central Luzon), told INQUIRER.net in a phone interview.

Fuentes is a former employee of the United Auctioneers International (UAI) founded by Sytin. Investigators said he was fired from the company in August 2018, after Sytin found that he was allegedly embezzling company funds.

FEATURED STORIES

Police said Fuentes changed his name into Ryan Rementilla to enter the UAI in 2001, since he had a standing warrant of arrest for murder.

After his removal in the company, he was then hired by Dennis Sytin, Dominic’s younger brother, in his own company.

Dennis, who was reportedly in dispute with his brother over the control of shares of the UAI and is currently being tagged as mastermind in the crime, allegedly conspired with Fuentes to carry out the murder of Sytin.

Coronel said Fuentes is still in the country as he did not have any recent records of going abroad based on documents from the Bureau of Immigration.

According to Coronel, another P1 million has been given by Sytin’s family to the tipster who relayed information that led to the arrest of Luib on March 5, in Batangas.
