GENERAL SANTOS CITY, Philippines — Otso Diretso candidates visited the General Santos City public market on Thursday to kick off their campaign in Mindanao.
Magdalo Rep. Gary Alejano, Marawi civic leader Samira Gutoc and former congressman Erin Tañada took photos and shook hands with supporters awaiting them at the public market.
This is the first time the Otso Diretso candidates took their campaign rally in Mindanao.
The other opposition candidates under Otso Diretso slate are human-rights lawyer Chel Diokno, election lawyer Romy Macalintal, former solicitor general Florin “Pilo” Hilbay, Sen. Bam Aquino and former Sen. Mar Roxas. /jpv
