Scavenger finds fetus in Las Piñas garbage pile

MANILA, Philippines — A fetus was found by a scavenger in a  pile of garbage in Las Piñas City before dawn on Tuesday, police said.

According to a report from the Las Piñas City Police, Alberto Silvestre found the fetus as he was scavenging along Candido Ramos Drive inside the Golden Acres Subdivision in Barangay (village) Talon Uno at around 1:35 a.m.

Police said the fetus was brought to a morgue as probers started its investigation. The gender of the fetus was not mentioned in the police report.  /muf
