Maynilad sorry for 30-hour water interruptions in QC, Valenzuela

MANILA, Philippines — Maynilad Water Services Inc. apologized on Monday for the at least 30-hour scheduled water interruptions in Quezon City and Valenzuela.

Maynilad Spokesperson Grace Laxa said that residents in some parts of Quezon City and Valenzuela will experience at least 30 hours of water interruptions starting 10 p.m. this Monday.

Laxa said that there are standby tankers to assist the residents affected by the water interruption.

The affected residents, she said, could call Maynilad’s hotline at 1626 and provide their address in order for the standby tankers to provide them water.

“Humihingi po kami na paumanhin sa mga customers naming affected pero sinisiguro namin na mag-iimprove ang ating serbisyo,” Laxa said in an interview with Radyo Inquirer 990 AM.

“Bagong latag po ang ating mga linya, so syempre mas efficient po ang ating mga tubig natin, ‘yung supply natin,” she added.

With this, she appealed to the public in the affected areas to store water during the interruption.

The following list are the areas in Quezon City and Valenzuela that will be affected by the water interruption.

Until Wednesday, 4 a.m.:

Valenzuela City

-Ugong (Hobart Phase 1 and 2 and Doña Marciana Subdivision)

Quezon City

-Bagbag

-Bagong Silangan

-Greater Fairview

-Gulod

-Holy Spirit

-Nagkaisang Nayon

-North Fairview

-San Bartolome

-Sta. Lucia

-Sta. Monica

-Sauyo

-Talipapa

Until Thursday, 10 p.m.:

Quezon City

-Batasan Hills

-Commonwealth

-Payatas

Once the service of Maynilad resumes, Laxa said that residents should wait for a couple of seconds before using the water.

“Kapag pong bumalik yung water service namin, hayaan po munang dumaloy ito ng ilang segundo hanggang luminaw na ito at pwede na nating gamitin,” Laxa said.

“Pero huwag po nating itatapon iyon. Pwede po nating gamitin pang flush o panglinis ng atin pong mga garahe,” she added. /je
