MANILA, Philippines — Comedian and TV host Arnell Ignacio has resigned from his post as deputy administrator at the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).
OWWA Administrator Hans Cacdac confirmed this in a phone interview with INQUIRER.net on Tuesday.
“Meron siyang [Ignacio] resignation letter but it is yet to be accepted,” he said.
Ignacio refused to mention the reason behind his resignation and told INQUIRER.net that he might arrange a press conference about his resignation on March 1.
President Rodrigo Duterte named Ignacio as deputy executive director V of OWWA on Jan. 23, 2018.

In 2016, Ignacio was appointed as assistant vice president for the community relation and services department of Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor).

Ignacio was also known for actively campaigning for Duterte during the 2016 Presidential polls. /je
