2 dead in Pangasinan, La Union road mishaps

DAGUPAN CITY — Two motorcycle riders died in separate road accidents in the provinces of Pangasinan and La Union on Wednesday night, police said.

Renier Camacho, 25, was killed after his motorcycle crashed into a telephone pole along the San Carlos-Urbiztondo at Barangay Agdao in San Carlos City, Pangasinan around 11:15 p.m.

Police said Camacho may have lost control of his motorcycle’s steering handle as he negotiated a curve along the road.

Rescuers brought Camacho to a hospital in San Carlos City but he was declared dead on arrival.

In La Union, Denver Selga, 27, died after his motorcycle was rear-ended by a cargo van as they traversed the Aspiras Highway at Barangay Cares in Pugo town at 10:20 p.m.

Police said Selga was thrown off his motorcycle, suffering body injuries. He died while being taken to a hospital in Agoo town.
