CITY OF ILAGAN, ISABELA — Police officers in this province handed out red roses to commuters, mostly women and elders and led a fitness program to mark Valentine’s Day.

Senior Supt. Mariano Rodriguez, Isabela police director, said they surprised the commuters with flowers to “promote love and peace.”

“We have been doing this every ‘love month’ to instill friendship, peace, and love among people,” he said.

Bus passenger Marilyn Callapag said she was “overwhelmed by the gesture of friendship and love on Valentine’s Day.”
