Magnitude 4.1 quake hits Maguindanao
MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.1 earthquake jolted Maguindanao on Thursday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
In its earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs reported that the temblor struck off the coast of the province some 50 kilometers (km) southwest of Cotabato City at 10:37 a.m. where Intensity III was felt.
The quake of tectonic origin had a depth of 21 km.
Intensity III was also felt in the towns of Kalamansig and Lebak in Sultan Kudarat.
Meanwhile, Intensity I was felt in Zamboanga City.
Phivolcs said no damage or aftershocks could be expected from the earthquake. /cbb
