/ 05:30 AM February 13, 2019

The Supreme Court en banc upheld on Tuesday the validity of the government’s decision to close and rehabilitate the world-famous resort island of Boracay for six months last year.

The high court voted 11-2 to dismiss for lack of merit the petition filed by three individuals who questioned the legality of President Rodrigo Duterte’s Proclamation No. 475. —Jerome Aning
