MANILA, Philippines — Opposition Senator Antonio Trillanes IV dismissed as implausible the Social Weather Stations (SWS)  survey that showed that more adult Filipinos were satisfied with the performance of President Rodrigo Duterte.

The staunch Duterte critic also pointed out that the true sentiments of Filipinos would be known in next year’s mid-term elections.

In a survey result released Friday, the major pollster found that 74 percent of adult Filipinos were satisfied with the performance of the Chief Executive during a Dec. 16-19 survey. This was four points up from the 70 percent recorded last September.

Meanwhile, 11 percent of respondents were undecided and 14 percent were dissatisfied by the President’s performance.

The SWS used face-to-face interviews of 1,440 adults nationwide, with sampling error margins of ±2.6 percent for national percentages. /cbb
