Albayalde: Someday, the bully student will find his match
MANILA, Philippines — Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Oscar Albayalde on Monday said the Ateneo Junior High School (AJHS) student involved in a bullying incident would someday find his match.
In an interview after a gift-giving event in Malate, Manila, Albayalde said: “Well I hope someday, that person, that bully makakatugma din ‘yan, makakatapat din ‘yan, ‘yong mga bully na ganyan.”
According to the PNP chief — who was obviously infuriated with the viral video of a bullying incident showing a Taekwondo black-belter punching and kicking a fellow student — said that during their time, kids would settle things squarely “at the back of the gymnasium.”
“There’s no such thing as anti-bullying law during our time.

Albayalde then urged policy makers to bring back the Good Manners and Right Conduct (GMRC) subject in the school curriculum, pointing out it can be dangerous for an individual and the society if such behavior would not be corrected.
You could just imagine paglaki n’yan, kung ganyan pa rin ‘yan, eh baka mamaya maging pulis pa ‘yan hindi ba? Napakadelikado,” he added. /kga
