Woman dead after being bumped by motorcycle in Digos City

DIGOS CITY – A woman was declared dead on arrival at the Davao del Sur Provincial Hospital after she was hit by a motorcycle at 6:40 p.m. Saturday.

PO2 Joenel Fabroa, traffic investigator at Digos City Police Office, on Sunday identified the victim as Elvelly Noynoyan of Purok 3, Barangay San Agustin here.

He said the incident occured at the front of Camella Homes, Purok 2, Barangay Matti.

Initial investigation revealed that Noynoyan was walking on the road side when a motorcycle bumped her.

The motorcycle was traveling from Barangay Mahayahay heading south towards Davao-Cotabato road.

Fabroa said the pedestrian was immediately brought to the government hospital for medical attention but was declared dead on arrival.

Police were now conducting a manhunt operation on the unidentified driver./lb
