Duterte to appoint Galvez next week as peace adviser
MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday said former Armed Forces Chief of Staff Carlito Galvez Jr. would be appointed as Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process next week.
Duterte made the announcement during the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ change of command ceremony at the Camp Aguinaldo.

“Si Gen. Galvez will join the Cabinet next week as the Presidential Adviser on Peace Process,” Duterte said in his speech

“He will be the ninth military man to join my government,” he added.
Galvez will replace former Presidential Peace Adviser Jesus Dureza who resigned last month.
