De Lima: ‘Perhaps Rep. Andaya forgot I am still a senator’
MANILA, Philippines — “Perhaps Rep. Andaya forgot that I’m still a senator.”
Sen. Leila de Lima said this on Saturday to call attention to the statement of Camarines Sur Rep. Rolando Andaya Jr. that “all senators,” except Sen. Panfilo Lacson, submitted funding proposals for projects to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
“I did not. Perhaps Rep. Andaya forgot that I’m still a senator, hence, I was not in his radar,” De Lima said.
The statement was part of handwritten noted that was posted on De Lima’s Facebook page.
Andaya was reacting to the pork barrel issue in the House after Lacson pointed out that P2.4 billion worth of projects was allocated for House Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s district.
