BREAK: Palace: Only rehab and not total closure for Panglao, El Nido
MANILA, Philippines -The Cabinet of President Rodrigo Duterte has agreed that an executive order was no longer necessary for the rehabilitation of Panglao Island in Bohol and El Nido in Palawan, Malacañang said Wednesday.
“The Cabinet agreed that there is no need to issue an Executive Order,” Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said.
The agreement was reached during Tuesday’s Cabinet meeting.
In a text message, Panelo said there would be no total closure of of Panglao and El Nido contrary to what happened to Boracay, which was closed to tourists for six months. /muf
