QC resident calls out ‘inconsiderate,’ ‘troublesome’ driver

Have most of us forgotten the concept of common courtesy? Especially of blocking one’s driveway?

Well, one driver apparently did as shown in one Facebook post.

“Today was a very stressful day!”

This was how a Quezon City resident started off her Facebook post where she vented her anger about a still unknown woman driver who parked her car “smack in the middle” of their driveway.

In her November 24 post, she said that the incident, where a car parked in front of their driveway, was a first.

“Good thing one of our cars was already out when this lady decided to park smack in the middle of the driveway where a NO PARKING sign is placed,” she wrote in her post.

“Our CCTV was able to record her arrival but our view was obstructed by our neighbor’s truck so we could not see where she went,” she added.

She said that the barangay tanod knocked on each home around the area to find out if the unknown driver went into one of the homes as a guest.

“We tried calling MMDA and dial 122 QC hotline for the wrecker (or tow truck) but they said we had to wait for 12 hours for it to be declared an abandoned car to be towed,” the post went on.

“Good thing the barangay helped us move the car forward a bit so our other car could get out,” she added.

The netizen also mentioned that most of her friends suggested that they should “flat the tires or break the glass” of the car that blocked their driveway.

“But we thought we did not want to cause her trouble the way she did to us,” she wrote.

“We were thinking she figured into an emergency call or was not in her right mind to do this because well– no one in her right mind would think of doing this!” the FB post added.

The netizen went on and said that the driver could have just parked her vehicle on the available spaces around the area.

“There were many open spaces to park that would not be a driveway with a gate! If she just backed up a little we had an open space where she could properly park her car,” she wrote.

According to the FB post, the woman driver parked her car at 12:30 p.m. and arrived to get her vehicle eight hours later.

Included in the post were photos which showed that they had taped a paper on the car’s windshield with the stern notice: “This is to inform you that you blocked our driveway. What you did was hazardous to us. We have 2 cars parked inside the garage. In case of emergency. What will we do? PLS. BE CONSIDERATE!!!”

“She even threw the sign we placed in her windshield. She is very inconsiderate and troublesome,” Lorenzo wrote.

“Nakakainis pramis. I thought at first not to post this on social media, but since she is not remorseful of what she did and did not apologize for all the trouble she caused, then here goes,” she added.

Lorenzo said that she made the post to reach the unknown driver, her family, relatives and friends.

“Shame on you! How dare you whoever you are!” her post read.
