Tropical Depression ‘Samuel’ exits PAR; Pagasa monitoring ‘Tomas’

Tropical Depression “Samuel” exited the Philippine area of responsibility Thursday evening, the state weather bureau said.

The tropical cyclone remained over the West Philippine Sea as of 6 p.m., according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

But Pagasa continues to monitor a weather disturbance outside PAR, which has already intensified into a typhoon.

Typhoon “Man-yi” (international name), last tracked 1,525 kilometers east of Visayas, is expected to enter PAR on Sunday. Locally, it will named “Tomas.” /ee
