Son of retired police officer falls in Davao del Sur drug bust

DIGOS, DAVAO DEL SUR – Two drug personalities in Davao del Sur province were arrested in a separate buy-bust operation by combined forces of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and police authorities, Wednesday night.

Senior Supt. Allan Manibog, provincial police director, identified the suspects as Vincent Selma, 22, a resident of Barangay Aplaya here; and Presco Pelino III, a resident of Barangay Zone 1, a former Overseas Filipino Worker and son a retired police officer.

Manibog said both suspects were listed as number 8 and 9 top drug personalities in the province’s drugs watch list.

Confiscated from Selma’s possession were three sachets of what the police believed could be shabu (crystal meth) and from Porquiado, four sachets of shabu and various drug paraphernalia.

Police said the confiscated drugs had an estimated market value of P52,500. The suspects were held in police custody as charges were about to be filed in court.
