Protesters picket Chinese Consulate in Makati City

Protesters picketed the Chinese consular office in Makati City as Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in the country for a two-day state visit.

According to the Southern Police District, about 200 rallyists gathered in front of the consulate on Tuesday.

Police officers also remained on alert.  Xi arrived in the country at 11:30 a.m.
