6 ‘big-time’ drug pushers nabbed in Lucena
LUCENA CITY – Police arrested six alleged big-time drug pushers and seized 200 grams of “shabu” worth P620,000 in two antidrug operations in Lucena City on Saturday, police said.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents and local anti-illegal drugs operatives nabbed Ricson and Norhata, both surnamed Piano, and Zulayca Laguindab in a buy-bust operation in Barangay (village) 4 at about 7:20 p.m., said Lucena police chief Supt. Reydante Ariza in a report.
Police seized from the trio 115.6 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of P346,000 at the current price of P3,000 per gram.
Authorities also seized a Honda City sedan, which the police believe was used by the suspects in their illegal drugs operations.
The Pianos are from Quiapo, Manila, while Laguindab is from Dasmariñas City in Cavite province.
Ariza said some of the illegal drugs distributed in Lucena come from Cavite and Quiapo.
Earlier that day, authorities collared Myline Alcanta, Sharmaine Bautista and Percival Dolor in another buy-bust operation in the same village at about 10:30 a.m.
Police seized 104.5 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P313,500.
Authorities tagged the three as among the remaining big-time drug pushers in the city. /cbb
