Pagasa continues monitoring tropical depression outside PAR
The northeast monsoon will affect the area of Luzon on Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
In its weather bulletin, the state weather bureau said that the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley and Central Luzon would have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the said weather disturbance.
The Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will also have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers but due to localized thunderstorms.
Pagasa said it will continue to monitor the tropical depression outside the Philippine area of responsibility.
The agency said that as of 3 a.m., the tropical depression was last spotted at 1,100 kilometers east of Mindanao.
It has maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 60 kph. It is moving west direction at 25 kph.
The tropical depression still has no direct impact to the country, Pagasa said. /ee
