Alleged drug pusher hurt in Olongapo shootout

OLONGAPO CITY—- A drug suspect was hurt in a clash with police during a Monday night (Nov. 12) police operation where two other suspects were arrested.

Alex Montes, 39, was shot in the leg when he resisted arrest and drew his caliber .38 revolver, police said. Montes was rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment.

His two accomplices, George Elefane, 51, and Carlos Bragado, 40, were caught selling suspected shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover police agent in Barangay (village) New Kalalake at about 11:15 p.m.

The suspects possessed 16 plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P12,000. /muf
