Village watchman evades bullet in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY – A village watchman miraculously avoided a bullet fired at him by a drunk and angry neighbor Monday afternoon in Macasing village here.

Superintendent Alvin Saguban, city police chief, said barangay tanod Florentino Fiel Payes, 50, and a neighbor, Armand Diana Biol, 24, had a heated argument at the latter’s house, when Biol, already drunk, aimed his 9-mm caliber pistol and fired.

Biol immediately went on hiding after the incident while the police launched a manhunt against him. LEAH AGONOY
