WATCH: Boracay’s cleaner white sand beaches 6 months after closure
Visitors of newly-reopened Boracay Island may now enjoy clean and improved white sand beaches, as shown in a video sent to INQUIRER.net.
The video was recorded during the soft opening of the island last Oct. 26, which showed a concert stage with spotlights and the Boracay letters with vibrant colors.

A party was also staged to celebrate the soft-opening one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations.

In a separate video, visitors of the island were enjoying a party at the Boracay Icon located at the Cagban Jetty Port.
President Rodrigo Duterte order the island shut down last April to make way for its rehabilitation.
The President had called the tourist destination a “cesspool” because of its environmental and zoning problems. /atm
