A total of 157 government-accredited hotels and resorts in Boracay will accommodate visitors on the island’s soft-opening day Friday, the Boracay Inter-Agency Task Force (BIATF) announced.
In a twitter post, BIATF issued an updated list of compliant and accredited accommodation establishments, which have 7,308 available rooms to shelter tourists in the world-famous island resort, which was closed in April to undergo rehabilitation for six months.
The BIATF said Fairways and Blue Water Resort and Savoy Hotel Boracay have the highest number of available rooms with 700 and 559, respectively.

The BAITF said all 157 establishments have been accredited by the Department of Tourism after securing permits and clearances from the Department of Interior and Local Government and Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
Upon the recommendation of the BIATF, Malacañang earlier announced that only 6,405 tourists will be allowed to enter Boracay and visit the beaches each day.
