DID YOU KNOW: Filipino marriages with foreigners
According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, 419,675 marriages in 2017 were between Filipino grooms and brides, while 15,257 marriages involved Filipinos exchanging vows with foreign nationals.
Among foreign women who married Filipino men, there were 298 Australians, 273 Chinese, 162 Americans, 135 Canadians and 123 Japanese.
There were 3,168 unions of Filipino brides and American grooms, and 1,490 involving Filipino brides and Japanese grooms. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
