Erin Tañada joins 2019 senatorial race

Former Quezon Rep. Lorenzo “Erin” Tañada III has joined the 2019 senatorial race, as he filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Tuesday.

Tañada is a candidate of the opposition Liberal Party (LP).

Earlier, Senator Bam Aquino and human rights lawyer Jose Manuel “Chel” Diokno, who are also in the senatorial slate of LP, likewise filed their COCs at the Comelec main office in Intramuros, Manila.  /kga
