Early bird Koko Pimentel arrives at Comelec to file COC

Reelectionist-Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III arrived early Thursday morning at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) headquarters at the Palacio del Gobernador in Intramuros, Manila, to file his certificate of candidacy for the May 2019 midterm elections.

Pimentel, president of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban), leads the party’s senatorial candidates.

According to the senator, PDP-Laban’s senatorial lineup has gone down to only “five or six” from the initial list of 24 names. /cbb
