WATCH: Hurricane Michael’s waves slash Florida Panhandle

Surf along the Florida Panhandle got progressively rougher during the day on Tuesday, Oct. 9, as Hurricane Michael made its way across the Gulf of Mexico toward a Wednesday landfall.

This can be seen in a video uploaded by Timothy Jehring via Instagram yesterday.

The storm’s top sustained winds were 110mph early Tuesday afternoon, and forecasters said more strengthening was expected, reaching Category 3 before landfall. JB
