Resort worker in El Nido nabbed in buy-bust

CITY OF CALAPAN –  An employee of a resort in El Nido, Palawan province, was arrested by the police in a buy-bust operation before dawn Sunday.

Supt. Imelda Tolentino, Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) police information officer, said Jiboy dela Torre, 30, of Dumaran town, also in Palawan, was nabbed in Barangay (village) Maligaya at about 12:50 a.m.

Seized from Dela Torre were nine sachets of “shabu” of still undetermined amount and worth.

The P500 bill used as marked money during the buy-bust was also found in his possession. /cbb
