IN THE KNOW: What is limestone for?

Limestone has many uses, but the most common is for cement and glass manufacturing. Powdered limestone is used as filler in paper, paint, rubber and plastics. Limestone, purified and ground to very fine particles, is also used as a mild abrasive in toothpaste.
