PNP releases facial composite of GenSan blast suspect

The computerized facial composite (CFC) of the suspect in the recent blast in General Santos City was released by the local police and authorities on Wednesday.

The Regional Crime Laboratory Office of Police Regional Office 12 said the still unidentified suspect is brown-skinned, of medium-built, male with curly hair, around 35 to 40 years old, and about 5’5” to 5’6” tall.

Police said the man was last seen wearing a red sweatshirt and red cargo pants. He was also accompanied by another man wearing a black bonnet, black sweatshirt, and black pants.

The blast in front of a lying-in center in Purok Malipayon, National Higway, Barangay Apopong was the third in the Socsargen region after two separate blasts in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat. The explosions were all set off from  improvised explosive devices (IED).

Operatives of the General Santos police have been conducting intensified checkpoints, patrols, and police visibility measures to prevent similar incidents from happening.

General Santos is currently under alert level 4, as per recommendation of the Joint Task Force Gensan. /ee
