Palace condemns GenSan blast
Malacañang on Sunday condemned the explosion in General Santos City that injured seven people.
“We condemn in the strongest possible terms today’s explosion that hit General Santos City which left scores of people injured,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a statement.
“This comes at an unfortunate time when the nation is reeling from the effects of Ompong,” he added.
The Palace official vowed to “bring the perpetrators of this brazen attack to justice” and assured that “authorities are now conducting an investigation.”

Article continues after this advertisementSupt. Aldrin Gonzales, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office-12, said the explosion occurred around 11:40 a.m. outside the TGP Generic Pharmacy at Crossing Makar in Barangay Labangal in the city.
Gonzalez said the still unknown suspect placed the improvised explosive device beside the pharmacy. /ee
