Drug pusher held in Sorsogon town
LEGAZPI CITY – Anti-narcotics operatives arrested a suspected drug pusher and seized from her P136,000 worth of suspected shabu or crystal meth during a drug operation in Barangay San Vicente in Bulan town, Sorsogon on Monday afternoon, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said on Tuesday.
Arrested was Marites Ervas while selling suspected shabu to an undercover drug operative in Purok 6, Barangay San Vicente at 5:10 p.m., said Christian Frivaldo, acting director of PDEA in Bicol.
He said they recovered from Ervas about 20 grams of shabu with a street value of P136,000.
Frivaldo said they considered Ervas a high-value target, ranking her third in the PDEA watch list.
The suspect was a local drug distributor and leader of an illegal drug group operating in the second district of Sorsogon, he said.
According to Frivaldo, Ervas gets her supply of illegal drugs from her ex-husband, who is an inmate at the National Bilibid Prison.
